What the app does
GPS remains the primary source of position. When GPS disappears or lies, the position is estimated from the car speed (standard OBD port) and the phone gyroscope and matched to the road graph; this dead reckoning is labelled DR. The estimate has an error margin and depends on the phone, the car and the third-party OBD adapter. Neiv is an informational navigation tool and does not replace your attention, road signs or other sources of orientation.
Adapter and compatibility
- DR requires a compatible iPhone, vehicle and OBD adapter, purchased separately.
- An OBD-II port, ELM327 label or Bluetooth capability does not guarantee iOS or Neiv compatibility.
- Check the requirements and the adapter catalogue in the app before purchasing a subscription, and test your equipment combination during free use, safely and before driving.
Subscription: manage, cancel, restore
- Basic GPS navigation is free. DR requires the “Neiv DR Protection” subscription (monthly or annual, auto-renewable) or available free minutes.
- Manage it in iPhone Settings → your name / Apple Account → Subscriptions, or at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time; to avoid the next charge, we recommend doing so at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Deleting Neiv, stopping journeys or an in-app block does not cancel the Apple subscription.
- The subscription works on all of your devices signed in to the same Apple account. “Restore Purchases” brings the confirmation back on a new device and after a reinstall. If the subscription is not confirmed despite valid payment, contact [email protected].
- This subscription does not support Apple Family Sharing.
A problem with the service
We ask you first to describe the problem and desired resolution to [email protected]. This is voluntary and does not limit access to Apple, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, another competent authority or a court.
